There was a complex case today where the doctors and the radiologists had to discuss a case of a 45 yr old woman who previously suffered from gynecological cancer before and was thought to be cured but has now reappeared as spinal metastasis. Because of this, the woman has a hard time walking. Doctors decided to do a full abdominal, chest and pelvic CT to determine whether or not its too late to do surgery or not. If its too late, then the woman would become paraplegic in a few days. If her scans isn’t too bad, then she can have a reasonable life expectancy, and they can operate and stabilize her spine.
We’re discussing results tomorrow. hopefully, it isn’t as bad.
